How to Make Elmo cookies

 

Elmo's World is a really cute theme for toddlers.  I made these cookies for my little cousin "Ethan".   These cookies are really simple to make and they look great.  You can make them yourself, even if you are not a professional baker.

List of Supplies

To make the nameplate and Age Number you will need the following Ingredients/Supplies: 

1. Wilton Cookie Icing Bottle, Green
2. Wilton Decorating Icing Tube, Yellow
3. Wilton Decorating Icing Tube, White
4. Wilton Decorating Icing Tube, Kelly Green
5. Wilton Decorating Icing Pouch, Red
6. One  #2 Tip and Coupler
7. Two #4 Tip and Coupler
8. Wilton Candy Eyeballs_
9. Sixlets Candy, Orange
10. Download, Print, and Cut the Name Template

 

STEP ONE: OUTLINE THE BORDER

Knead the tube before using.  Outline the border of the cookie with the Leaf Green Wilton Decorating Icing Tube, using a #2 Tip.  Let it dry for about 10 to 15 minutes.

 

STEP TWO: FLOOD THE COOKIE

Flood the cookie with the Wilton Green Cookie Icing.  Make sure to shake the bottle before using.   Do not microwave this icing since it is very liquidity.  You do not need to use a tip, pour straight from the bottle.  You must add a little bit at a time to avoid the icing spilling over the edges of the borderline.  ​Once you are finished flooding move the cookie from side to side so that the icing can settle.  You can use a toothpick to get rid of any air bubbles and to help spread the icing.   Let it dry for about 1 Hour.

 

STEP THREE: OUTLINE THE BORDER

Once the green cookie icing is dry, outline the border again using a #4 tip and the yellow decorating icing.

 

STEP FOUR: WRITE THE AGE AND NAME

Knead the tube before using.  Use the Wilton White Decorating Icing and a #4 Tip to write in the Age and Name.  Let it dry for about 4 Hours.

STEP ONE: FILL THE COOKIE WITH COOKIE ICING

 

Using the Wilton Red Decorating Icing Pouch and the star tip that comes with it, you start to press and pull upward to create small peaks with the cookie icing.  Once you complete the entire cookie surface, quickly go on to step two before the decorating icing dries up.

STEP TWO: DECORATE THE COOKIE

 

AGE NUMBER:
Add the eyes and nose using the candy eyeballs and the orange Sixlets Candy.  

CRAYONS:
For the Crayons you can outline with a #2 tip and the Wilton Black Decorating Icing Tube and then Fill with whatever color you prefer of the Wilton Cookie Icing
